This great beach resort town has hundreds of caves cut into the limestone rocks next the the beach, in which hippies used to live.

Its one of a number of caves carved into the wall above the beach at Matala in Crete. They used to be inhabited by hippies in the 60s and 70s but they are a bit too dangerous to live in now so just remain as a curiosity....
